Segway Ninebot | F40

Description

Segway used the public for the development of the Ninebot F40. A crowdfunding campaign was set up via the Indiegogo platform to raise money for the production of this scooter. And with success. In June 2021, the necessary amount was collected and the new Segway scooter was launched.

With a range of 40 kilometers and a top speed of 25 km/h, the Ninebot F40 is part of Segway's highest-performance segment. The sturdy construction means that the scooter can be loaded with a maximum of 120 kg.

Renewed 10” pneumatic tires

Two renewed 10” pneumatic tires provide extra stability and driving comfort. Segway adds that the tires allow you to overcome thresholds of up to 5 cm without slowing down.

The profile of the tires offers low resistance and ensures good water drainage. In combination with a IP54 water resistance you can drive the Ninebot F40 through light rain showers.

Three driving modes

The Ninebot F40 is equipped with an LED display in the center of the steering wheel. Here you can find the speed and battery level, among other things. You can switch between three speed settings via the button on the display:

Eco mode: maximum speed of 15 km/h
Standard mode: maximum speed of 30 km/h
Sport mode: maximum speed of 30 km/h (+ faster climbing hills)

The scooter has a regenerative braking system, provided by an electronic and disc brake. When using the brake, energy is stored back in the battery, so that the maximum range can be used.

Connect via the Segway Ninebot app

Using the Segway Ninebot app, you can connect to the scooter via Bluetooth.
In the application you can view the speed, energy consumption, current battery status and other data. In addition, you can update the firmware of the scooter in this way.
